Jazzie: Hi Barbie I've got something fun for us to do.. Let's have a secret gift exchange. What do you think?

Barbie: Oh Jazzie, that sounds cool!! How does this gift exchange work?

Before Jazzie could say anything she hears Teresa coming.

Teresa: Hey Barbie and Jazzie, what's up? Planning something secret? Wanna let me in on it? Please?

Jazzie explains to both Barbie and Teresa that you have to be a member of IBDC. Email her friend Jazzie to be put on the list. She will then match partners. You won't know who your partner will be till you get the gift in the mail.

Sound good to you? Well, join in the fun!! :)

For our Winter/Holiday swap we polled IBDC members and the results of that poll were in favor of having a secret Barbie gift exchange.

How this swap will work is after all the participants sign-up we'll have Jazzie put names into a bowl or hat. Then she'll pull names and match partners up. That's where the secret part comes in. *Grin* You won't know who your partner will be till you get the gift in the mail. :)

Rules:

1.) Please put Delivery confirmation on all packages.
2.) Write IBDC Winter/Holiday swap on the box.

Swap Dates:

Sign-up before Mon. Dec. 15th
Dates partnered - Wed. Dec. 17th
Dates to start getting things together - Fri. Dec.19th
Sent packages by - Fri. Feb.20.04 W/ Delivery Confirmation.

Price Limits:

Low - $5.00 - $10.00
Mid - $20.00 - $30.00
High - $50.00 and up

The above price limits are just a guide. You are allowed to go between spending limits. For example $10.00 - $20.00 range if you like.

Please email Jazzie, Slyckk@aol.com with the spending limit of your choosing. And if you're planning on customising a doll, you'll need to give an estimated cost.

Barbie, Jazzie and Teresa started to work on the swap. Barbie helping to promote it and Jazzie taking care of each and all there friends and their e-mail addresses. Many people were interested in the swap and there was a large number of people. Jazzie printed out all the names and she turned to Teresa.

“Will, you do the honors by getting a hat?” she asked. Teresa went over to Barbie’s closet.
“She’ll find one,” Barbie whispered into Jazzie’s ear. “She wears my clothes all the time. She knows her way around my closet better then me.” Out of the closet came Teresa holding a pink baseball cap. Jazzie grinned only Barbie could find a pink baseball cap.
“I love the new dress you have Barbie,” Teresa said. “Any chance I could…”

“Yes, you can borrow it,” Barbie grumbled. “Sometimes I wonder if the reason you even come over is to borrow clothes.” She sat down to help Jazzie fold the names into tiny squares. They all threw the names into hats. Jazzie shook it up and handed it first to Barbie.
“You will go next Teresa then I will go last.”
Barbie picked out the first two names….
